Day 1 The LENTIL & SWISS CHARD STEW with small diced potatoes, fresh cilantro and lemon juice is all you need to feel warm, cozy and happy! This traditional Lebanese staple is very hearty and healthy.
Kafta Skewers with Labneh
Day 2 KAFTA SKEWERS make perfect little bites for your TV dinner plans! Flavorful Kafta mini meatballs with cherry tomatoes, fresh mint leaves and a silky labneh kisses, no cream involved.
Day 3 A simple ingredient list with straight forward directions. The green beans are cooked with onions, garlic and some tomatoes. LOUBIEH b-ZEIT is seasoned with sea salt, a pinch of ground allspice and a magical hint of powdered ginger. It does marvels! This dish is vegan friendly but you can always add some Feta cheese on top. I do!!!
Lemony Artichoke Stew
Day 4 This LEMONY ARTICHOKE STEW is a traditional Lebanese comfort food preparation. The kids love it and ask for it very often. We just adore the hearty texture and flavors of this dish. The artichoke bottoms are cooked in a rich and silky lamb broth to which we add lemon and potatoes then elevate its savor with cilantro.
Dessert of the Week BAKLAVA. Baklava. Baklava!!! Yes, you can have more than one serving because they are not overly sweet. Save the extra crunchy baked edges for yourself… you need a reward for your hard work! ;)
Day 5 FALAFEL love as a main dish; in a pita pocket, with crunchy vegetables, with a few spicy pickled pepper bites or as a salad topping. The multiple possibilities are deliciously charming.
Balila / rustic warm chickpea appetizer
Appetizer of the Week I would chose BALILA over hummus any day! This appetizer is warm and hearty: the chickpeas are overcooked and they melt in your mouth with garlic, cumin and olive oil aromas. You might refuse sharing! (You have been warned.)
