Glazed Radishes

I am always looking for cute, unexpected and easy ideas to cook. Today’s discovery is spot on: Glazed Radishes. The color is gorgeous, the radishes are crispy and the light balsamic glaze balances very well with the typical spicy radish bite we all love so much. This recipe is extremely easy to make, it can be served as a nice appetizer or to add a little bit of fun next to a sandwich or grilled meat.

Glazed Radishes

Adapted from Tout Manger de A à Z. Sophie Dupuis-Gaulier.
Serves 4

1 bunch small red radishes, leaves removed and roots carefully trimmed
1 oz (28 g) unsalted butter
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

Scale and prep all the ingredients.
You will need one small frying pan.

Wash the radishes in cold water. Dry them on paper towel.
With the frying pan over medium heat, melt the butter until slightly foaming. Add the radishes and let cook for about 3 minutes. Add the sugar and vinegar, season with salt and pepper and cook for another 4 minutes while continuously tossing the radishes.
You want the radishes to stay crunchy!
Serve hot or warm.
